I love and am thankful for my brother-in-law for countless reasons, but the two that immediately come to mind involve the following:
1. Delivering my beloved to the hospital and watching over him until I was able to get there myself
and
2. Documenting the entire affair for posterity. Thanksgiving 2010, we will not forget you!

...but you left too many blanks! What happened to poor JM?? Is he well now?
A, I wasn't very clear on the specifics, was I? Too much rich Thanksgiving food = violent throwing up & diarrhea = serious dehydration = low blood pressure and near fainting and lack of oxygen = Friday morning in the ER with 2 bags of IV fluids.
He slept most of Friday, ate just broth and applesauce yesterday, and is much, much better today :)
Glad he's feeling better! I, too, got to enjoy a trip to the ER myself this weekend to repair the damage caused when my lip got caught between my top teeth and a sled. Great pictures!
Amanda, we are cringing!! Jan Michael says he'll take dehydration over a lip being caught in a sled! Did this happen before or after Thanksgiving dinner?! Speedy recovery to you!!
Scary. I am glad that Jan Michael is feeling better. I hope the rest of the holiday season is more restful.
It really wasn't as bad as it might sound. It happened Saturday afternoon, but it didn't slow me from continuing to eat the rest of the weekend! Not a single tear shed...
