Two hike Saturday

First, Halcyon and I woke up with the early, early birds for a march up Mount Index to Bridal Veil Falls. One of the things I like best about hiking to waterfalls is that you can hear where you're headed; all Halcyon and I to do was follow the roar :)









Then, later in the morning, we high-tailed it up the pass with Craig and Christina to our favorite little Franklin Falls. We've prowled around it in the sunshine and the rain and the snow, and it's delightful every single time. I've decided that somehow, when it's time to retire and glide gracefully into our golden years, we must do it with the ocean as our front yard and a waterfall in the back :)
